Site health check gets you ensured that your website is healthy enough; it generates an intensive report full of useful tips and recommendations for improvement that should be made for your website. It helps you know if you have some of the duplicate contents in your site, it checks if  your links and documents are functioning well, and check for all your source files are well optimized, etc.
For site health improvements here are some guidelines that can be followed,

  1. Optimize and compress your Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) files and JavaScript  files as much as possible and compress it before uploading it to server, unused codes from these files should be removed for better site health.Hence, compressing these files and using only utilized codes are vital.
  2. Never user unfriendly links with underscores or spaces, hyperlinks or url’s must always be separated with hyphens"-" and they should be user and search engine readable and friendly. 
  3. Source folders, files and documents should be made easily and fast available to improve the loading time.
  4. Images should be optimized and well defined along with anchors and other content so it can be understood if in case the image doesn't loads.
  5. Continuously check for any improvements that you should make in Google analytic and webmaster tool and make it a follow up check every week.
